Verticality & Light

This vertical sculpture is an exploration of lightness and elevation. The intricate 24-gauge wire mesh allows the structure to assert its presence without visual weight.

Versatile Display:

  • Outdoors: The transparency of the weave interacts beautifully with sunlight, making the pagoda feel like an ethereal structure floating amidst your bonsai foliage or atop a rock peak.
  • Indoors: Perfect for display shelves or meditation corners. When illuminated by artificial light, the layered wires cast elongated, dramatic shadows, extending the artwork's impact onto the surrounding space.

A Living Material

We intentionally chose raw copper for its responsive nature. It is not static; it lives and breathes with its environment. As it rests in your garden, exposed to the elements, the copper will slowly develop a rich, deep patina. This natural aging process aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Wabi-sabi—honoring the beauty of things that change with time.

The Artist’s Study: "Evening Bell"

Created by sculptor Nguyen Tuan Hoang in 2025, this piece served as a crucial architectural study for his upcoming 2026 solo exhibition, "Evening Bell" .

Before constructing his monumental exhibition works, Hoang needed to intimate himself with the vertical proportions and roof curvature of traditional Vietnamese pagodas.

Why weave so meticulously?

The act of hand-weaving thousands of wire loops was a deliberate choice. It forced the artist to slow down, allowing him to deeply observe and "absorb" the structural elegance of the temple form. Each weave is a meditation on balance, proportion, and the interplay between solid form and empty space.
