About us

A JOURNEY FROM THE HEART OF HANOI

Growing up in Hanoi, we were surrounded by the beauty of Bát Tràng ceramics. Each visit to the pottery village, with the rhythmic hum of the potter's wheel and the earthy scent of clay, fueled our passion for this ancient art form.

A Bat Trang ceramic artisan, with focused eyes and gentle hands, molds a clay pot on a spinning wheel, his craft a testament to generations of Vietnamese artistry.

INSPIRED BY HERITAGE

We admire the dedication of Bát Tràng artisans, who pour their hearts into preserving this centuries-old tradition. Their masterful techniques and creative spirit are reflected in every miniature ceramic figurine.

David Nguyen, founder of The Viet Potter, carefully examines a delicate, handmade ceramic figurine in a workshop overflowing with shelves of traditional Bát Tràng ceramic art.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION WITH NATURE

My name is David Nguyen, founder of The Viet Potter. As a passionate aquarist and terrarium enthusiast, I sought ways to bring nature indoors with beautiful and sustainable decor.

Inside a whimsical glass terrarium, a tiny Tam and the Well figurine rests near a miniature house and deer, creating a charming fairy garden scene inspired by Vietnamese folklore.

DISCOVERING MINIATURE TREASURES

During a visit to Bát Tràng, I discovered the answer: miniature ceramic figurines.Their exquisite detail, natural colors, and durability captivated me. These tiny treasures were perfect for bonsai, terrariums, aquariums – anywhere a touch of nature is desired.

THE VIET POTTER WAS BORN.

SHARING THE BEAUTY OF VIETNAMESE CULTURE

Our mission is to connect the world with the beauty and heritage of Vietnamese ceramics. Each miniature figurine tells a story of ancient traditions, skilled artisans, and a deep connection to nature. They're more than decorations; they're a piece of Vietnamese art and soul.
